CARP guru Kevin Nash has issued a warning to fellow fishery bosses after his famous Church Lake lost some its prized big carp.

Dying plankton blooms caused an oxygen crash at the private Essex venue resulting in the death of two true English 50-pounders and four other specimens. One 50 was the sought-after Decade Fish.

The water has produced carp to 61 lb 6 oz (in 2010) and has been tipped as one of THE waters to watch for a new British record.

Tackle and bait baron Kevin fully bexplains what happened, and why other venues to be alert, in week’s Angler’s Mail magazine. And get the magazine every week for top tips, big news, best products, and venues that are in form.
