Site manager Charlie long-trotted to pick up the fish right at the end of the swim at Britford, telling the Mail: “My heart was in my mouth bringing these big lumps to the net at such a distance.”

He used a 5 gr Dave Harrell Avon float with 0.12 main line, hook length 0.10 mm to a size 16 hook with double red maggot as hookbait.
