TEENAGER Nick Edson has smashed the French common carp record with a stunning 84 lb giant – and it’s just 3 lb 3 oz below the world best set recently in Germany.
The 19-year-old from Alfreton, Derbyshire, bagged the huge fish during a mega productive week at Etang La Saussaie.
And he added 12 other whackers including a 50 lb 8 oz common, five 40s, a 30, one 20 and three doubles.
