Kevin-SampsonEVERYONE knew the opening of the river season would see plenty of doubles caught – but the most unique specimen of the opening week was this 10 lb 2 oz tench!

Kevin Sampson bagged the rare river double from the River Lea on the Essex/Hertfordshire border where he his currently living on his narrow boat.

It fell to an open-ended feeder approach with meat wrapped in paste, as Kevin was after chub at the time.
