daceTHE river season got off with a bang last week and there wasn’t a better specimen than this amazing 1 lb 1 oz dace to Scott Cordingley.

Scott bagged the huge fish, at its lowest weight as they peak in late winter, from his local stretch of the Kentish Stour in Canterbury.

He trotted a 1g Drennan stick float with Drennan Supplex 3 Ib straight through with double maggots on a size 18 Drennan super specialist hook.
