Court clobbers knife-wielding licence dodger

A KNIFE-WIELDING rod licence dodger only escaped jail after pleading guilty at Worcester Crown Court.

Robert Wright, 20, from London, was given a nine-month jail sentence suspended for two years, ordered to do 150 hours unpaid work and pay costs of £600 (payable at £50 per month). In addition to this a forfeiture and destruction order was given for the knife used in the offence.

On Thursday, September 20, Robert pleaded guilty at Worcester Crown Court to a public order offence whilst fishing without a rod licence on the River Wye.
