CARP are really starting to get their heads down to feed with the clement Spring weather and they don’t come any better-looking than this 42 lb 4 oz new lake record mirror to Kevin Ware.

Croydon, South London-based Kevin tempted the much sought-after fish known as Moonscale Unity Lake on the Guys Syndicate run by Linear Fisheries in Oxfordshire – and for the second time in five months.

Linear officer Chris Blunt explained: ‘Kevin was actually the last person to catch this big mirror back in November last year at a slightly lower weight. it was also a lake record mirror then.’

Kevin used Century NG 13 ft t/c rods, 12 lb Shimano Invisitec main line, 3 oz lead and the ever faithful Mainline Cell boilies.
