TOP carper Stephen Weir has caught the second biggest carp in the World – and heaviest by a British angler – at a whopping 104 lb 2 oz.

The Portsmouth, Hampshire–based businessman was at the start of a two-week trip to wonder water Euro-Aqua in Hungary when, at 6pm, the monster picked up his fishery-provided hookbait at 120 yards.

It fell just a fortnight after Tomas Krist, from the Czech Republic, smashed the World record at the same 28-acre venue with a 105 lb 13 oz monster.
