THE BBC have again been blasted for having an anti-angling bias after claiming in a Midlands Today broadcast that swans are being poisoned by anglers lead shot.

The TV report gave the views of well-known anti-angler and swan rescuer Jan Harrigan (pictured, right) on the River Severn at Bewdley. Her comments were made despite the fact most lead split shot for angling has been banned since 1986.

The BBC haven’t shown an angling programme for over five years. And the latest goof incensed the Angling Trust.
