Anglers earn their stripes
AUTUMNAL perch have been on the munch with a string of quality stripys reported to Angler’s Mail last week.
Current Fox specimen Cup champ Ken Brown got back in the action with his sixth of 5 lb when he notched a 5 lb 4 oz beauty.
And Darrell Atkins topped a great session with a pal on a day ticket stretch of the River Lea Navigation with this stunning 4 lb 7 oz specimen (pictured) using a small livebait in a quick afternoon roving trip.
The 29-year-old said: ‘We also landed another four-pounder along with three 3s, three 2s and around 20 smaller specimens, all in around 4 hrs leapfrogging each other down the river.’
