ANGLING has hit the bright lights of big time advertising with some 12 electronic billboards promoting carp ace Jerry Hammond’s The Compulsive Angler DVD.

In what has to be a first for angling, the advert sits alongside big hitters such a Coke Cola and Sky TV and adorns some prime locations in Central London including Kensington High Street and Canary Wharf. There will also be a ten-second promo being aired at Liverpool’s Lime Street train station.

At what would normally cost a mind boggling £60,000, Jerry, who runs Hertfordshire’s Carthagena Fishery, has broken the mould when it comes to promoting any angling product.
