PIKERS are going to able to fish for a stunning 40 lb pike  in a northern lake – but are going to have to wait until October.

Fisheries student Jake Finnigan bagged the giant that went between 40 lb 3 oz and 39 lb 15 oz on the scales last November while doing work experience on the venue near Scarborough.

Angler’s Mail can now reveal it fell on the 7.5 acre Trout Lake on the mixed day ticket complex and fishery manager Mike Heelis will be offering pike day tickets – but that will start this October.
