SPECIMEN carp fishing has long been associated with long-haul sessions but Gary Spencer proved this a myth by bagging two brutes of 52 lb 6 oz and 50 lb 13 oz in less than ten hours.

His first big ‘un, a mirror carp scaling 50 lb 13 oz, fell during a three hours session when it slipped-up to a Premium Carp Fisheries Coco Fruit boilie having primed the swim for two weeks prior with a pre-baiting campaign.

It only got better for Gary as the following day a 52 lb 6 oz mirror carp fell to similar blow-back set-up but with the soon to be released Premium Carp Fisheries’ Squidly Diddly boilies.
