Fish expert’s theory on Colnemere deaths

ANGLER’S MAIL magazine has been reporting on the wipeout at hush-hush lake Colnemere, where casualties included prized carp, The Black Mirror.

Sausage meat is more like a base mix in that you need to add additives and process (cook) it before use. Just mix the sausage meat with curry powder, the amount added is a matter of individual choice. Then roll into sausages and cook in an oven on a medium heat

Treble hooks banned

THE UK’s top mixed predator fishery has banned treble hooks for the forthcoming season to protect their valuable zander and pike stocks… and boost fishing.
Surrey’s prolific Bury Hill Fisheries near Dorking revealed the decision last week after a comprehensive study, with a maximum size 4 single hook permitted.

BARBEL RIG TO TRY THIS SUMMER!

Here’s a simple but effective rig to catch barbel in the summer. The rig incorporates 12 lb fluorocarbon main line, a 10 lb fluorocarbon hook length and a size 10 hook with a hair-rigged boilie. Fluorocarbon has two main advantages when barbel fishing – it is almost invisible in water and also pins itself on the deck.

TYING A KNOTLESS KNOT

1 Start off by tying a simple overhand loop at one end of the hook length; this loop is the end of the hair and will act as the anchor point for the hair stop which will hold your bait in place.
