WHY THE SAD FACE IN FISHING PHOTOGRAPHS?
ANGLERS’ trophy shots are a personal thing but the number of anglers who stare glumly or have a serious look on their face do make me giggle.
Don’t get me wrong as I have been guilty of such poses in the past and cringe at myself when I flick through my album.
I don’t know if you think its cool, fashionable or what?
Why the heck people insist on looking so down in the dumps is beyond me.
I go fishing for the fun factor which of course is but not solely about catching fish this in turn makes me happy and I want show this by wearing a big fat smile on my face on trophy shots.
Now I know some people will roll their eyes at such a view but surely by achieving your target and catching the fish you are happy!
WHILST the subject of photography we have a possible record-breaking crucian carp in this week’s issue.
Always around this time of year we get a glut of ‘crucians’ reported to us here but all too often the photographic evidence is nowhere near on track to prove or disprove if they are in fact the real deal or hybrids.
It’s really important that if you plan to make a claim that you get sufficient pictures or better still a scale sample or fin clip for DNA purposes.
