WELCOME to our latest daily blog, exclusively here on the Angler’s Mail website.
Thursday is our Big Fish Blog and it’s the turn of Pallatrax, our magazine’s Specimen Cup sponsors. Team Pallatrax leader Jez Brown wrote this interesting instalment.

A GREAT MONTH FOR PALLATRAX
WELL with only three months to go until Christmas (someone had to say it) and the weather on the change September has been a great month for the Team and Pallatrax users.
September has been a really good month with specimen carp, barbel, chub and perch all being landed on Pallatrax products. The consistent force behind our results mirrors the drive for the brand with rig simplicity and quality products at the forefront of all our fishing.
Dave Lidstone, Team member amd owner of Pallatrax backed Emperor Lakes, has been dedicating what little spare time he has to targeting the perch of Lower Tamar Lakes in Devon.
Dave has been using the Stonze and Method approach and achieving amazing results with over a dozen 3lb’ers landed in the last few weeks up to this impressive 3lb 12oz specimen.
There’s a superb On Tour feature in this week’s Angler’s Mail magazine with Dave at Lower Tamar so check it out!
The Thames can be a harsh taskmaster, miles of seemingly featureless bank can appear to be very daunting. Our Team man Luke Ayling has been carrying out a consistent campaign on his local stretch.
I think we’ll all agree has had an outstanding result with the below brace of 7lb chub and 14lb+ barbel on the increasingly popular Crave squabs & boilies.
Mark Owen has been catching consistently well at Emperor Lakes on Pallatrax baits. Mark is not part of Team Pallatrax and each month we’ll feature someone who uses our products from outside the team as we believe catching fish is the best form of endorsement! Below is Mark with his latest in a string of great fish – a 40 lb 2 oz Emperor carp caught on Crave.
To round off this month’s report here are some photos of the team with their partners and family – we strongly promote getting family and friends involved in angling and anything you can do to get the ‘future’ involved can only be applauded.
Finally, thanks for your patience whilst we get the long awaited Pallatrax website up and running. This is an ongoing project but products, articles and video footage can be viewed at www.pallatrax.co.uk
Please also remember to visit our Facebook page and there is still time to secure your place in our trip to The Wye competition at the top of the page. All you have to do is like the page and type ‘yes’ in the post for your chance to join the team in mid October.
THE NEXT BIG FISH BLOG WILL APPEAR NEXT THURSDAY.
Don’t forget we have a new fishing blog here every day!
